Guided Tours of the Smoky Mountains

Winter Tour Calender

We have our winter calendar up through Jan 4th. As of right now the only tours we will be running from mid Nov though the end of Dec is the Moonshine & Wine tour and the Vittles & Views tour. If you look at the calendar and the date you want does not show, that means the tour does not run on that date. We will be operating the M&W tour on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday through the remainder of the year. The Vittles & Views tour will run only on Thursdays. The 2020 calendar will be published by the end of 2019 for tours beginning in March. We will have no tours scheduled in January and February. If you have a large group (10+ passengers) you may call us to request a tour for the months of January and February.

Thanks for reading, see ya soon.

Well folks, its getting closer to the season of giving. It seems to start earlier every year doesn't it? Well, we know some of you really like to get the best deals by doing the early season shopping and so this special is made just for you. Getting the perfect gift can be a challenge or it can be easy. If you have a special person in your life who enjoys visiting the Smokies then the perfect gift for them would be an amazing tour of the area. From Oct 24th - November 17th we will be adding 15% more to your gift card purchase (rounded up to the nearest whole dollar). That means if you buy a $100 gift card we will make it $115. What better way to make a weekend getaway or vacation more stress free and enjoyable than to give them a tour of the Smoky Mountains with a true native born local guide. They can sit back, relax, and enjoy the sights, sounds, and history of our beautiful area without ever having to worry about where to go and what to do. We will keep our eyes on the road so they can keep their eyes on the wildlife and scenic views.

(Please allow 7-14 business days for your 15% credit to be applied. If you need your credit sooner please send us an email to expedite the order.)

Want to be an Eco Friendly tourist?

Taking a tour will make you more Eco Friendly. That's right folks, "car pooling" is a much more Eco Friendly way to see the Smokies. Instead of having 10 families in their 10+ different automobiles we can put them all on a single bus. Tours are not only more Eco Friendly but more fun, more informational, and lower stress. We do all the driving while you relax and enjoy your day. Pollution is a problem in the Smoky Mountains due to the high volume of traffic that goes through it each and every day. One trip up to Clingman's Dome to see our dead and dying fur trees will confirm that. However, it's not just from emissions but also from sound and waste. Taking a tour may seem like a small step but if we eliminate only 10 extra cars a week, that takes over 500 automobiles and their impact out of the park each year. In a typical week during the summer we often transport enough passengers to remove far more than 10 cars a week. With over 12.5 Million visitors a year who come to see the Smokies, every parked car counts. Join a tour and become an Eco Friendly Tourist. Tennessee Mountain Tours is committed to the preservation of the mountains, its history, and its heritage. It takes constant work and vigilance from locals, tourists, and businesses alike to keep our park clean and pristine. Just know that if you choose to take a tour instead of going on your own you ARE making a positive impact on the environment. A step in the right direction, no matter how small is still a step in the right direction.
